Low dues for EAIS membership were recently reinforced through a generous matching membership program signed by EAIS and Iowa’s investor-owned utilities Alliant Energy, Black Hills Energy, and MidAmerican Energy. “We are thrilled Iowa’s utilities recognize the grassroots value of our new organization and are supporting Iowa schools in this manner,” said Chuck Elbert, EAIS board of directors chair and principal at Holy Trinity Catholic Schools in Fort Madison, Iowa. “Schools need to find ways to save energy and taxpayer and tuition-payer dollars, Iowa’s utilities want results to help them meet their energy efficiency goals, and the mission of EAIS is to focus energy and budget savings on education–this partnership is a trifecta!”

Matching membership funds for schools receiving their electricity and/or natural gas through a municipal utility or rural electric cooperative will individually be requested by the E-member school district and EAIS.
