The American Lung Association recently offered up to 50 free, short-term residential radon test kits to Iowa school districts participating in the EAIS School Radon Training and Support System (while supplies last). Thirty-nine EAIS members took advantage of this program.
Intended for distribution to staff, parents, and community members for home testing, this opportunity was funded through a FY26 Iowa Cancer Plan Implementation Grant received by the American Lung Association in partnership with Energy Association of Iowa Schools from the Iowa Cancer Consortium, and Iowa Department of Health and Human Services.
