Julie Weisshaar from Energy Association of Iowa Schools (EAIS) staffed our booth and spoke at the Iowa Schools Building & Grounds Association Summer Conference at Bondurant-Farrar Junior High School in Bondurant on July 16-17.

The session, Everything You Ever Wanted to Know about Radon Testing but Were Afraid to Ask, was an extension of EAIS’ recent online information webinars of the same name. Designed to answer 15 of the most common school radon questions we’ve received in a decade of helping Iowa schools test their facilities for radon, as well as answering additional questions brought to the session by attendees.

At both the session and the EAIS booth, attendees learned about their school’s last shot to save $500/building by registering before September 1. After that deadline, access to EAIS’ School Radon Training & Support System© will increase in price.

With the July 1, 2027 deadline for Iowa schools to meet the requirements of Chapter 280.32 (School Radon Law), this $500/building reward has never been more wanted by schools looking to follow the law and save lives.

For your next chance to learn more from us in person, visit our booth at the School Administrators of Iowa Annual Conference, which takes place in Des Moines on August 5-7. We’ll be there for the Pre-Conference on August 5 as well as August 6.
